Dworshak Dam, the highest straight-axis, concrete gravity dam in North America. The dam is 717 feet high, creating a lake that is 54 miles long. A true boating, camping, hunting, paradise. The dam visitor center is open year round with dam tours available during summer months. Located near Orofino Idaho on the Lewis and Clark trail - check us out and stay and play

It is such a peaceful place to go and will really be nice during the summer when it gets hot. Just go down there and stick your tootsies in!

This damn is huge and impressive. We only drove up for the view and did not hike or camp. It was worth the drive, but get directions to both sides of the damn and see the visitors center.

Great thing to see. Hard to believe they could build such things in the 20's. The lady at the visitors center was very friendly and knowledgeable. Enjoyed our visit.
