High end shopping, restaurants, hotels, coffee shops and of course the occasional ABC store. Much like any other glitzy American high street in a tourist destination. Don't forget to take the credit card - unless your window shopping you'r going to need it.

The street is right next to the iconic Waikiki beach, and has a huge range of shops covering almost everything. It is also a great place for chilling.

I LOVE this street for shopping. Great buys and a good time waster if you just want to hang out and chill out. Next to the beach, so once you're finished at the shops, a fresh dip can be had! Check out the ABC Stores...More

We took the street a couple times as we went to and from restaurants on the beach during our week in Waikiki. It is lined with everything from Tiffany & Co., Coach, Prado, Chanel, H&M, forever 21, cheesecake factory, PF Changs, Häagen-Dazs, local shopping centers,...More

Kalakaua Ave was disappointing at best, especially as you get closer to Waikiki Beach, because any semblance of Hawaiian culture or uniqueness gets wiped out by the same national brand stores that you can find in any other upscale-mall in any other city in the...More

I stayed in Waikiki for a week in June 2017. While there, I did quite a lot of exploring and walking along Kalakaua Ave. This is the longest street in Honolulo and has all the top designer shops, some top hotels and restaurants. It is...More
