The view from up top is nice, but right next to the entrance off the highway you can walk down to cockroach cove, and follow the shoreline around to get a better view. Make sure you pay attention to the surf though, and don't get swept off the rocks!

Halona boasts a gorgeous cove and blowhole. If not for our little one, I would have loved to have ventured down to the cove. It was gorgeous from the road, and it's a nice place to stop and take a few photos.

What a stunning little cove!!! We read that a scene from Pirates of the Caribbean 4 was filmed here so we had to check it out. There was plenty of parking and gorgeous views. It is also easy to walk down to the beach area and fun to explore. The water is beautiful blue-green color, really breath-taking.

Then stop here. Granted we were there at low tide so the blow hole really wasn't (except very rarely and only a little). We had made a special drive to get there and were underwhelmed. Nice view. Might be worth a little more time if you wanted to hike down to the fairly secluded beach, but all in all no... More

The lookout is easy to miss as it just pops up on the side of the highway, but its worth a stop. The cove is beautiful but looks a little dangerous to get to, as there is no pathway. The blowhole was really active when we visited, so we got to see the water shooting out really high. And the... More

Took a ride from Waikiki to see the blow hole on the weekend. Weather was beautiful and the view of the coastline was amazing, but it was difficult to even see the blow hole from the viewing area. Took the path down to the beach and up the rocks and the blow hole was just a footnote to the experience.... More

Blow holes are fun and this one doesn't disappoint if the ocean conditions are right. Easy access right off the highway and a decent amount of parking though it can get backed up during busier times.

The blow hole is a real cool scenic view! You've got a great view of the ocean and the hole itself. We even saw a whale! Parking was decent. I'd estimate you'd need no more than 45 minutes in this location.

The blow hole itself is decent, but the accompanying views are wonderful. Magnificent crashing waves, jagged coastline, beautiful sandy beach; it's the quintessential Hawaiian postcard iconic scenery. It's almost difficult to comprehend the beauty condensed in these islands. This can be a quick stop; or longer, if one wants to indulge the senses. In either case, it's a stop not... More

Easy parking loop makes it simple to call in. Nice vista and blow hole is fun for a quick stop. Kids would like it.
