Awesome sight to see. Go in the morning before the weather rolls in. Clouds seem to build around noon and obscure the views.

Drive up to the top of Mt Haleakala and enjoy some amazing views while you climb to over 10,000 feet. Your ears will pop and you may go in and out of the clouds but often, the summit is clear and you can see over...More

This is a very scenic drive, but check the weather first. We drove up despite clouds at the top, hoping that they'd clear, but no luck. Couldn't see the crater, and as we expected it was cold and rainy - mountain weather! 75F when we...More

First it will not just be cold at the top it is absolutely artic. Dress accordingly or the whole experience is a waste of time. We had to pay $20.00 at an unmanned Ranger station for the drive up. Allow plenty of time before sunset....More

This attraction hi lights the diversity of this island . In the course of 2 hours one can go from the sweltering beaches of Maui to the bare and cool mountain top crater of Haleakala. The journey was as much fun as the destination ....More

This is a scary drive with lots of switchbacks and hairpin turns. Not as narrow as the road to Hana but you are climbing very high. The views are outstanding as is the crater once you get there. Beware, it is very windy and cold...More

A visit to Haleakala is not be to be missed. But the drive itself is worth it even if there wasn't this amazing valley and vista's at the end. The winding road that takes you above the clouds has no shoulder and sometimes steep drop...More

Lot of fun in driving/ cycling on the curved road leading to Crater 9000+ feet high. Tourists having motion sickness are advised to be cautious.

The road winds with ample space for two lanes but some very tight turns. Take stops to acclimatize to the pressure difference and watch the clouds dance along the mountain.

What roads do you take to reach the zip line. We are driving from Lahaina to Dairy Road. Do we turn at the church? We can't see the highway signs. Thanks

We took about two hours to do the drive to the top where the viewing point is. Actually, it is a good highway with plenty of railings for safety. We stopped on the way down for lunch.
