Got up real early to out this island that you can only swim nearby and not land. Snorkeling is the way to have fun with lots of fish to see. Spend the time to see and enjoy your visit to this magic area. Wet suit is not needed

For anyone who likes snorkeling, this is a must do when on Maui. What is particularly interesting with Molikini is that because it is away from Maui mainland, the water clarity is crystal clear, with no murkiness that you often see when snorkeling directly from a beach. I highly recommend.

I had a really lovely experience travelling out to Molokini Island. I really enjoyed my time snorkelling - but to be honest I have seen better.

We went snorkelling off of Molokini and had a great time. Tons of tropical fish and we even saw an eel and a reef shark! It was a great experience. Make sure to check out "turtle town" by Wailea as well - tons of sea turtles!!

Was fascinated by this place the first time I saw it on a postcard and knew I had to go experience it! And was totally not disappointed!! Beautiful morning trip out from the Aquarium Harbor... There are numerous tour boats.. we went straight to Molikini.. anchored down.. snorkeled.. lunch there.. gorgeous day... Clear water with fish over every shoulder! Some... More

These are some of the clearest waters you will ever snorkel in. The water is a beautiful sapphire blue with some amazingly colorful fish and of course the Turtles. The water is warm and refreshing. We went in the morning and there weren't too many other boats at that time. I can't wait to go back and swim in it... More

We rented equipment and booked our trip with Omar at Boss Frogs. Our teens were a little nervous but quickly got over the jitters. Nice easy early morning trip out to Molokini. Not too crowded. Great visibility and the kids felt comfortable in the water. Great trip! Thanks Boss Frogs (and Omar) for helping us with the trip.

We did the first morning snorkel with Kia Kanani and were the first and only boat at Molokini. The water was clear and had great views of the fish and bottom of the crater. On the way back we stopped at Turtle Town and were able to see many Green Turtles. If you go to Molokini I would highly recommend... More

Didn't see any turtles so was a little disappointed by that. But the snorkeling in this area is superb. We saw one white tip shark and one octopus and then about a million black fish. Make sure to take sunscreen! I came back looking like a lobster.

Unless you want to snorkel in a crowded area with a thousand of your closest friends, choose a different tour/excursion...there are MANY better options for better fish viewing, with less crowding! Don't "drink the Koolaid" on this popular, yet way overrated! Try "Wave Runners" for a unique experience! Tell 'em Spike sent you! Aloha!
