We have visited Maui approximately 10 times over the past decade and always make time for a visit to Black Rock, even for a quick visit. The water is clear and usually calm (more so in the morning). Snorkeling is a main draw with frequent...More

This beach has a lot to offer. It was the first place we visited after getting some amazing poke of course! Fantastic chance to do some cliff jumping, beautiful sand and an opportunity to get some decent snorkeling in!

Enjoyed our walk around the beach and the beautiful grounds. Relaxing and peaceful, loved the sounds of the ocean crashing.

Black Rock is a great place to snorkel or to spend the day on the beach. I recommend you get there early because it does get crowded and the water is often calmer in the morning for snorkelling. There are a handful of free parking...More

Only a handful of people I pointed this out to thought it was interesting (many just said "I don't see it" and kept on swimming even though I literally freedove all the way down and pointed right at it) , so I'll post it here....More

Hi - I'm guessing the Snorkel Store has life vests, noodles, etc They'd probably throw those in free of charge with a snorkel gear rental. Worth asking
