Day trip from Lihue. Spectacular spot, restricted access from bay to jetty and the road further on from the bay due to massive storm damage. However enjoyed what we saw and would recommend it to anyone, Just walking the beach was great and the views...More

Great beach for family with small kids. Beach is quiet very small waves. Surrounded by incredible beauty. Very scenic, picturesque. The beach itself seems a bit run down. There are volleyball nets set up and shower to rinse off. Parking is tight. I enjoyed just...More

This is a wonderful place to hang out. The bay is really stunning and the beach is perfect. Cool town to explore. Things are getting back to normal after the great flood but you still can't get to the end of the road as of...More

Don't miss a trip to Hanalei Bay if you're on Kauai! This beach is amazing and close to the busy shops and restaurants of Hanalei.

My family loved this beach, especially my youngest. The current is almost nonexistent and it’s shallow further out than any beach I’ve ever been too. Great for younger kids and for just taking it easy. If you’re looking for snorkeling or surf I’d go elsewhere....More

Very nice beach. Parking but you must get there early to find a spot. Only service is a bathroom, no food nor drink. Walking on the grass is a killer due to the mini pine cones, you definitely need foot wear.

This bay and its beaches are so beautiful. The snorkelling is certainly not the best on the island but fun nonetheless. There are definitely fish as well as tiny shells to find. The reef is basically just brown rocks with slimy moss, so you can...More

Beautiful breezes keeps you from getting too hot. Good beach, buzy, but not too buzy. Large bay and plenty of room to spread outon a clean beach. Pretty gentle surf, some surf boarding and body surfing. Caution: the sand can get VERY hot. My wife...More

The bay is calm and therefore great for swimming. We did not access through Princeville as that is unfortunately a big resort complex that kills the whole natural aspect of Kauai. we took the small bridge over to Hanalei and went to the bay from...More

Not good for tourists to rent Airbnb or Brno in Hanalei or anywhere north. Or able to drive north of Hanalei too. Biz r open for tourists there. But some places flooded and molded out like dolphin I’d not eat at.

Not much of a beach to surf at, very shallow waves that crash on the beach in some places. The best part of the absolutely stunning scenery from the end of the Jetty. You can jump off the jetty into the beautiful clear water... More
