At the risk of seeing this beach get too many visitors, I will say that any visit to Kauai North Shore is not complete without a visit to this beach. Google Maps correctly directs to parking right off the highway, about 20 spots and restrooms....More

My wife and I visited Donkey Beach with no children, so take this review for what it's worth. You need to park up the road, and walk down to it. But even that walk is special, through a short tree tunnel. It's a beautiful beach,...More

Since there are many warnings about the steep entry, dangerous currents, no lifeguards, no facilities and submerged rocks, this wasn't on our "beach" list but was more a destination to explore because of the enticing descriptions of unmatched beauty. We were not disappointed. We easily...More

This is an expansive beach with far more space than people visiting it. Typically, you expect to have very little company. To get to it, you take a hike down to the beach. It's not a difficult hike, but if you have a lot of...More

We rented bikes and rode the paved bike path over here and then walked down to the beach. The sand part of the beach wasn't even- so you had to walk on a slope, which made it difficult. There was a guy sunbathing in his...More

We visited Donkey Beach in August. Beautiful, idyllic beach! The waves here can be unpredictable though. After lugging all of our gear down to the beach, we thought the wiser of trying to get in the water. My husband and I are both excellent swimmers,however,...More
