Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Totally recommend Hawaii Forest and Trails. Took the full day tour from the Kona side, across the center of the island to the Volcano with Matt as our guide. It is a long day, but as we had hoped by taking a tour we learned a huge amount about the island, how it was formed, its climates, lava (we had no idea how varied it was) and had fun as well. High point was lunch (provided) on a lava cliff overlooking the ocean. Even got to do a short public service project in the park. Matt's exxpertise was obvious and we highly recommend taking this, or probably any other of Hawaii Forest and Trails tours. These are small van tours - 14 people

Our trip guide, Taj, was amazing. So passionate about every aspect of what we saw. Volcanoes, plants, craters, the rocks, lava tubes...so much to see! We packed everything in 12 hours, had good meals, GREAT lava cake, and my husband and I would do this again in a heartbeat.
Worth the pricetag, next time we'd also definitely do the waterfall tour with Taj!
Bring a jacket, a good camera, and be ready to walk/hike! Taj even took us to "restricted" areas of the island! So fun!

Review written earlier by Ed Lee. Jeff was so attentive to my mom needs. He was so knowledgeable regarding the stars.
