As with all the parks, my children had fun. There aren't many rides for smaller children. There are a good selection of thrill coasters, my favorite at this park, Goliath. The lights are amazing.

Yes, you should be able to leave and return, and yes, it would be MUCH cheaper than eating in the park. As stated above, I would check with personnel before leaving to see if a hand stamp is necessary. A cooler would also... More

I think you will be fine without the flash pass. I do recommend that you arrive as early as possible. The park opens at noon, I recommend being there by 1115
