Spent a Saturday morning here walking 5 miles. The place is beautiful and very well maintained. We saw gators and snakes so be careful and wear your boots! Nice trails for all levels of walkers. The birds were gorgeous and everywhere. Will return.

If there is time, I bring out-of-towners to this amazing marsh/swamp. I can be sure that they will love the endless grasses in which the birds hide and nest , softly calling. Then suddenly a squawk, and a great flapping, and ducks or egrets or...More

Stroll along the paths at a snail's pace, enjoy the views, wildlife and weather. Plan on your visit taking ... rather, don't plan on anything, just go, visit, meander. Worth half a day at least.

I enjoyed walking in the park in the afternoon. The trail is easy to walk. Even my 84 years old mom enjoyed it. Hope to go back next time When I am in Augusta again

We spent the afternoon hiking the trails. Regretted not getting the park map after looking right at it. Grab yourself one before heading out. The trails are best done by bike.

Such as beautiful place. Loved the trails through the swamp, up over boardwalks and passing beautiful mossy trees. Lots of people birdwatching and this place has the feel of a hidden gem. Worth a visit!

Amazing diverse biome where you wouldn't expect it. Leave the city and there it is! Hiking, birding, picnicking, playing, and best of all learning! Love, love, love this place!

My husband and I stopped to check this out- not knowing much about it. From the gravel parking area there is a small sign to the visitors center. It’s a moderate walk there on a boardwalk over the swamp. At the center you can get...More
