The statues on all the graves are so interesting to read. A good place to learn about the meaning of some of the different things on the monuments. It is divided into sections by culture. The Chinese and Jewish section was very interesting also

If you are a history buff or enjoy historic places, you can easily spend 3-4 hours walking around. I wish they would fix the roadway throughout this beautiful cemetery.

Attended the funeral of a friend several months ago and went back to walk through. This is a beautiful old cemetery. Much can be learned about families of Augusta by walking through. The tombstones and sayings engraved on them are worthy of seeing.

This a very interesting and old cementary. It has some graves dating back to the civil war and before. The city does a good job taking care of it. A must visit for history buffs.
