The theater itself is worth five stars. It's an old African-American theater in the heart of downtown Athens. Beautiful interior with comfortable seats. But who decides how to get people in? Mid June, and everyone had to stand in a line in the heat around...More

This is often used for local performances, but it is an old African-American theater right in the heart of downtown. It was renovated several years ago. It's worth a visit

This was once a traditionally African-American theater, and is really well preserved, thanks to the tireless work by mostly volunteer staff. Now and again you can catch some dance acts, small theater productions, etc.
