visited this museum with my son, place is very big and spacious. their are a plenty of collections and exhibits. people who work their are also well informed and friendly. its a must visit if you are in Athens.

Very nice museum located a little bit off campus. They have a wonderful permanent collection and some excellent traveling exhibitions. A big bright airy museum that all schools would be jealous to have. Great to see they have a small permanent exhibition of Outsider Art

On a weekday afternoon we spent wandering through the Georgia Museum. Their selections on display kept us there fro the entire 1/2 day. Thanks and we will be back soon.

We enjoyed it but I guess I was expecting more recognizable artists considering it's the Georgia State Museum. There were some very nice exhibits of some antique dishes.It is handicap accessible.More

Nice, quaint, but a very good selection of various period and style artwork. Took me about an hour to walk through it. FREE!!!

Went here for a few hours, not a bad time. The gift shop also had reasonable prices for the merchandise.
