Had wondeful 4 hours at the reserve. Birds all looked well cared for. Signs around park in Spanish and English. Birds feed at 1200 so be at the cafe where you’ll be surrounded by macaws. Had refreshing dip in the river at the reserve.. access bit basic. Thoroughly recommend a visit here. Great value for money and a short cheap tuk tuk ride from centre of copan.

Had a wonderful morning here and was really surprised at how beautiful it was - the sanctuary feels part of its jungle surroundings and was beautifully maintained and natural. The huge river running through the middle is really impressive too! Lovely cafe at the end of the walking trail. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Copan, and is well worth the short walk from the centre of town!

It is amazing what Macaw Mountain Bird Park has accomplished in reintroducing macaws to Copan. If you come to Copan you should definitely visit this place. If you cannot come, please consider donating to their effort. It is so wonderful seeing these birds flying free in their natural habitat. Covid has impacted their funding because fewer people have visited the park. This is such a unique and special place that needs our support to continue.

We stopped here after visiting the ruins. Our tour guide had recommended it.

We enjoyed the place a lot. We spent about an hour there and saw a wide variety of tropical birds that have been rescued from the pet trade. There were various macaws, toucans parrots and other species. Most will be released to the wild.

You should make a point to visit here if you’re in Copan Ruinas as it’s very impressive.

Loved visiting this place to see all the beautiful birds. But if you are limited for time and only go there to see the macaws, then go to the Ruins and at the entry, you will find dozens of birds flying around you, giving you plenty of photo opportunities. I got so many beautiful photos at the reserve, and even a lot with me in the photo and the birds behind me, perched on a tree right at my shoulder. Awesome experience.

Walking is a very big part of this tour. Each guide as a slant about the birds. The layout is well worth the time and their is so much to see and learn. Will take a good hour or more but not to stenious but it is up and down. Seeing the birds and hearing the lessons was great. Take water with you and their are facilities on the tour.

We enjoyed this more than I thought we would. The birds are really great to see, and I appreciate the mission of the place -- it started by taking in birds the owners couldn't have any longer. It's nicely laid out, and the admission seemed to be a fair price for the nice experience. We took a tuk-tuk to & from town and that worked out great. They let you be photographed with some of the birds at no additional cost, which was pretty fun.

Great place to see exotic birds. All birds are being rehabilitated to hopefully be released back in the wild if they are considered capable of surviving on their own. Very knowledgeable and friendly guides. Can have pictures taken with some birds on your shoulders. I highly recommend for a quick hour of a unique experience.

Great place to visit for nature lovers. See several varieties of birds close up and support their rehabilitation. Nice nature walk and good information provided on the signage in English and Spanish.

If you love birds and nature it's great. I've never experienced so many opportunities to see these magnificent birds up close. The project and programme is genuine and great. This is supported by local command government. They do release birds into wild again. You can easily spend a couple of hours here. Thank you for your work
