Thank you to our park guide Rafael he was amazing. A lot to see and learn. I would do it again. Monkeys, birds, butterflies, and a lot of other animals to see and hold. And crossing bridges. A lot of fun!!!
This was a great place to play with and feed the monkeys, birds, and other creatures. Our guide Michael or Miguel was full of knowledge and helpful. It was well worth the $10 admission price. I highly recommend.
Butterfly Sanctuary was beautiful. We made friends with wild Capuchin Monkeys that climbed right down out of the trees, cuddled a kinkajou and played with parrots and Macaws. Saw plenty of wild birds and reptiles climbing all around us. Spanned a suspension bridge and learned...More
Our knowledgeable guide led us through the peaceful garden explaining the life cycle of the butterfly and pointing out the species living there. Up the waterfall we observed hummingbirds. After leaving the quiet butterfly sanctuary we encountered a pair of monkeys looking for peanuts and...More
Our time with the staff was fantastic. We had 7 in our group 4 adults, a teen and 2 children. The staff were professional and so fun with all of us. Even the 2 of us with a fear of heights. They were knowledgeable about...More
We had a really fantastic visit to Mayan Eden! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly (and we could sense his passion for his job and the animals). We had a great time, felt very safe, and felt that we were seeing an unspoiled corner...More
We'll my friend Kenny had a fear of heights but he still tried it.
The wire can hold up to 400 lbs and it was amazing about 2 miles for 40 or 45 USA .
They were attached to us for most of the time....More
This excursion was fascinating and educational. What our wonderful tour guide lacked in height he made up for in knowledge, personality and professionalism. This was a walking tour and animal experience that allowed us to handle monkeys, parrots, and kikachus. The butterfly garden/enclosure was tremendous....More
This is a must for our family when in Roatan! cannot beat the price and the staff is amazing! We love this place and will continue to go every chance we get! The monkeys and birds and sights are breath taking.
Mayan Eden is a terrific and safe experience! Brian and Christian were our zip line guides! They were so helpful and patient. I was very nervous about the whole thing but once I saw the safety measures they have in place, I felt very relieved....More

The zip line is the best part of the park. The animals aren't that spectacular, but were a fun add on after the zip line. I'm not sure I'd put forth the effort to do only the park. The are in cages like a zoo, but they get a lot of them out to show you. They take credit cards at the gate but their machine doesn't always work right, so we had to have cash. US dollar. It's a pretty quick taxi ride to this park. Be advised that the taxi's in port are mostly trying to sell you a tour and they get paid by you and where they take you. They will try and up sale you, most likely. Be firm and assertive and you'll be fine. We did it in a huge group of like 13 that we crammed into a mini-bus-van thing. Made the overall cost lower. If you can arrange to just have a taxi take you, it will cost less. They will want to shove a "tour guide" into the car with you that will cost you more. Especially at the end when they try and guilt you into a tip one for the driver and one for the "guide". I found our guide interesting but also very annoying. She felt like she had to talk non-stop. The taxi driver never talked, so if you want a conversation, get the guide. Some seriously steep roads on that island. The reason we ended up going here, was the ship's excursions all got canceled due to heavy rains and mudslides on a lot of the roads. Even with that we didn't have any trouble getting around. The locals all came out and cleared the roads pretty fast. There are mosquitos at the eco park, so come prepared. I think, time-wise you should be fine. Sorry for the long reply, hope it helps.
