I arrived to Roatan on the Carnival Breeze with my family (4 adults). We were unsure of the weather and mostly wanted to relax on our vacation, so we didn’t book any excursions in advance. We did some research on Mahogany Bay in advance so...More

Perfect location, short walk or real nice chair lift from Port's shopping area. Beautiful beach, where you have amazing views when ships are leaving(as long as it's not your ship :) ). Also some nice restaurants/bars, so nice little stop after our Island Tour, before...More

We enjoyed looking through the shops, especially the local crafts. From there we took a shore excursion to a private beach to ride horses. The horse ride into the water was one of our favorite experiences ever. The private beach was postcard wonderful. We enjoyed...More

The continuous chairlift as part of the excursion made it easy to get to the beach, but it would have been an easy walk. Most of the cabanas were in the shade, so that, too, was an unnecessary expense. The beach was nice, but crowded.

We decided to do this excursion which was a beach with restaurants and activities. It was beautiful but crowded. I'm not particularly fond of being in large crowds but there were 2 cruise ships here. So several thousand people got off the boat. Not sure...More

I was deceived by this location. Carnival made this beach entirely and you think you are at Walt Disney instead of being in Honduras. The beach is nice but if you don’t take a tour, you will be deceived.

On our recent cruise, we rented a cabana for our family of 10, ages 5 - 70, and every one of us had a wonderful day. The cabana was on a private section of beach so there were no crowds, the water was the prettiest...More

In 2012, (not January 2018) My Husband and I decided that we didn't want to do the touristy beach area of Mahogany Bay. Instead we walked over to the private taxi stand and booked a tour around Roatan. We were assigned with another couple to...More

Mahogany Bay is a cruise port owned by the Carnival Corporation, I was told that it’s shared with a few cruise partners. If your cruise line go to this port when you disembark you will walk along the pier through Dufry Store, it’s the usual...More

As first-time cruisers, we didn't know what to expect at this cruise port. We ended up enjoying this port most among the three our cruise ship visited, mainly because we were blessed with amazing weather and a small crowd. Three cruise ships were docked that...More

The decision has to be up to you. I would book an excursion through the ship as the best way. However, having said that there is so much to do right there in the vicinity of the ship you may not need to go on an excursion... More
