We were recently in Puerto Quetzal and one of the other passengers hired Gus himself to give us a shore excursion to Antiqua. He had lots planned for us to do. He took us to the fruit market, gave us a photo opportunity for the volcano plume and indigenous head stone, Valhalla macadamia experimental farm, Jocotenango Village Civic Center, lunch,... More

Our tour guide Dary Areualo was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The scenary was great and her narration was super. I would highly recommend the tour to Antiqua and request that Dary be your tour guide.

Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure being your shore excursion provider. All our tour guides, are certified by the Guatemalan Tourism Board, and after they received their certification, they have to go thru 40 hours a year to keep their skills and knowledge up to date. Dary Arevalo, has been working with us for the past 10... More

We were on two cruises in the past two years which stopped in Guatemala. (The date of Feb 2016 is incorrect.....wouldn't go back to 2015) In Port Queznal, we did the Pacaya Volcano Hike...with a terrific guide, beautiful scenery, fresh air and a great lunch with Gus and his wife at the end. If you didn't want to hike up,... More

I just want to take this time to thank everyone for your wonderful reviews. It has always been our pleasure to provide you with a quality tour, in both Puerto Quetzal and Puerto Santo Tomas. There has been some problems contacting us, the reason: we believe our web address was hacked long time ago, but thank God we found another... More

I heard good reviews about Going With Gus Tours on Trip Advisor. This was the only reason we decided to visit their booth when we disembarked in Santo Tomas De Castilla, Guatemala. We decided to do the waterfalls hike tour through the rainforest. They hired a cab driver to take us 20 minutes from port to Las Escobas which is... More

What a heartwarming experience to see the appreciation of the children at the school we visited. Also, the meal in Guatemala City was excellent. Thank you Gus for a wonderful day.

The canopy zip line tour was a great experience and can be done if you are on a cruise. We had a group of 4 people all over 60 with no zip line experience. The Go with Gus kiosk was easy to find in the port welcome center. The trip to Antigua was over an hour in an air conditioned... More

Gus provided a wonderful tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide Dary. She had excellent English skills and knew the area well, was very informative and very happy to answer all our questions. We stopped at a Coffee plantation as well as a lookout for the volcano.

We took the 'Livingston' tour and really enjoyed the water taxi ride along the coast to the town of Livingston. It is not commercialized at all, but very scenic. The tour included a boat ride up the Rio Dulce River which was beautiful and we stopped at a school to distribute some school supplies to the children. The children were... More

I just returned from a Western Caribbean cruise today, and I wanted to make sure to give Gus a great review ASAP! We took a tour of the Rio Dulce and Livingston with Gus and tour guide Hugo out of the Santo Tomas de Castilla port in Guatamala with our three kids, ages 11, 8, and 6. Not only was... More

This tour gave us a chance to touch on authentic and real life in Guatemala. Gus really cares about people in Guatemala and understands needs of visiting tourists. We really enjoyed a visit to a local school and smiles of children when they were given small school supplies (be prepared for this by bringing some with you) and a visit... More
