I stayed on the lake for 3 months and it took me over a month to get in touch with them, get all my questions answered and organize a trip to come see where they're at and what it looks like. First off, I disliked that they advertise the course but do not specify WHO will teach it (like the... More

Greetings, thank you for your review, I hope you enjoyed your time in Guatemala and in San Marcos. I am surprised to hear you say that you had a hard time reaching someone at the farm. While we are fully off-grid and out of the hustle and bustle of the surrounding towns, most guests find that we are very fast... More

A staff member harassed me for 2 days, saying that I still needed to pay my $1200 tuition before finally finding my invoice from a month earlier in her email. That made me feel really uncomfortable. Also everyone in my cabin got attacked mercilessly by bugs all night. I was concerned they were bud bugs because of the clusters of... More

I spent five days @ the Farm participating in a silent meditation retreat with yoga. The experiences were beyond my expectations. I found the people in the Farm community kind, highly skilled, helpful, respectful, spiritual in their respective ways, nurturing and supportive with expected boundaries. The food was extraordinary and nutritious while at the same time, lovingly and artfully prepared... More

I had the pleasure of being a part of the Mystical Yoga Farm community while trading art for delicious vegetarian cuisine and comfortable stay in November of 2013. The volcanic lava lined basin that is Lake Atitlan, the awe-inspiring volcanoes, the Mayan sacred site of Grandfather Rock, and the earth itself host indescribably rich and radiant one-of-a-kind energy that is... I am sad to hear that somebody rated the farm with one star. I hope whoever reads that takes the time to browse some of the other reviews on this page. I would also like to point out that there is definitely culture (please see rant on culture at the bottom of page) and I NEVER saw a single rat... More

Visited for a full day and night. Very good, advanced yoga classes taught by student teachers who are taking the certification courses. A full day incl. all meals, classes and overnight stay is $45, which was on the expensive end of my shoestring budget, but I did take a great 3 hour yoga class. A truly beautiful location, set up... At first I was skeptical of going to the mystical yoga farm simply because it's in a foreign country and there were little reviews online. This is why I am taking the time to write one because I want anyone who looks into it to know that it is a fantastic place to do your teacher training or even visit.... More

Mystical Yoga Farm is a little piece of stillness on a lake that can get a bit much at times. The lake is amazing but most people stay on the main big bit of the lake and miss this little inlet in the corner, which seems somehow even more magical. The farm is very much off the beaten track and... More

I spent the Month of May at the Mystical Yoga Farm doing an apprenticeship program and had a beautiful experience. I love the Mystical Yoga Farm for the same reason I love burning man, it attracts the most amazing people on earth in a place that is conducive to gathering to connect and sharing gifts. Like burning man however, you... More
