A nice trail adjacent to hotel atitlan. Lot of steep steps so not meant for people who have difficulty walking. Trail winds through water falls, aress frequented by monkeys and other tropical wild life.

This reserve is a wonderful way of enjoying nature a short walk or tug-tuk ride from the centre of Panajachel. There are a number of trials through the jungle to see spider monkeys, howler monkeys and other mammals with spectacular views of the lake. There...More

Didn't do the zip-lining portion, but it was still fun. The hike features lots of suspension bridges and the scenery is quite nice. Granted the Latin pop music being pumped out of nearby hotels kind of detracts from the ambiance. I even enjoyed the butterfly...More

This preserve is a quick tuk tuk ride from Panajachel . It was fun to hike alone. The coatis and spider monkeys are behind wire fencing; people couldn’t get in but the animals could get out. For better or for worse the preserve is so...More

We walked through the reserve late one afternoon- took around an hour. Our two children loved it and my husband and I enjoyed taking in the natural beauty. There are a number of hanging bridges so not for those scared of heights.

I think it was $10 to get in and $30 for zip lining. It is well worth it! Great experience. You can even learn some Mayan words from the guides on the way up! Free language lesson. Haha
