Nice and small museum with some artifacts of Guatemalan mayan history. Also has a small live snake and tarantulas and a small gift shop.

If you have some time to kill in Guatemala City, this is an informative place to do it. The cost is low, sometimes even free. There is a big map in the floor that shows you what the area used to look like.

It is very interesting to see the pre hispanic civilization that used to live in Guatemala City. They also have different exhibitions regularly.

The museum is really modern and completed. It has all the Mayan history of Kaminal Juyu. Behind the museum there is a very beautiful park to spend some time and a reptile exhibition room.

Everyone interested in Mayan culture or history should visit. It is especially important to understand the area since many if not most of the artifacts where found onsite and the areas immediate surrounding Mall Miraflores
