Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is maybe the most beautiful place in Guatemala city. This is an authentic palace made in the 1940's by the president of that time. By outside is wonderful, and for by inside is so beautiful and lovely. This is an impossible place to missed. There is tours around all days

We tried to get in, twice, on the same weekday. Got there 20 minutes before each scheduled tour, as advertised in a stand-up sign near the entrance. The 10am tour was cancelled because of a "school group," and we were told to return at 2pm. Got there at 1:50. At 2pm, a guide told us the 2pm tour was delayed because a VIP was inside the Palace. At 2:05, he said, "Why should I lie, you're not going to stand a chance today, there won't be any more tours." So we cooled our heels for four hours, for nothing. A German tourist who had done as we did walked away fuming, too.

This palacio has a great collection of both old and modern art. We had a guide, all in Spanish, and even though I don't speak a word Spanish, it was interesting, and she showed us what was worth to look at. Big halls and all the beautiful art.

Entrance is for free so I went there with local person. I'm not sure if turists can enter there as we had to leave our ID at the entrance. There is many goverment officies inside.

The palace has an interesting history to begin with. The guide (spanish speaking) was very knowledgeable. He took us room by room and explained it's use and the architectural details. When asked a question he had a believable answer. The price of admission included the guide. Also, you might want to call ahead, because the time of the tours seems to be fluid.
