I had heard of Habitat for Humanity and a visit to their discovery center and global village provided me with an indepth view of their mission. The short film before you enter the village is informative and the village is nicely done.

The village starts with an example of slum living conditions. Then there are 20 full size homes that have been built to help people out of the slum homes. These homes are examples from all over the world. We really enjoyed our visit.
