Worth it!

I definitely recommend this hidden jem. Traveling through cave on an inter tube and witnessing the ancient ruins and bats. Definitely a must!

blue breek has a great atmosphere and the village is still rich with the maya culture. the hike is free but you need to hire a guide to get access to the cave at the top. it's about an hour drive out of punta gorda town. i recommend renting a vehicle so as to not be in a rush. truly... More

We had so much fun doing the cave swim here with Steven from Big Falls Lodge! Really unique and beautiful experience. Highly recommend but not for weak swimmers, little kids or the elderly. This mom of 50 yrs though loved it!!

We went cave swimming with TIDE Tours. We were picked up from our guesthouse in Punta Gorda promptly at 9am by our guide, Martin. The drive to the cave was 45 minutes long. Once there, it was a 15 minute hike to the entrance of the cave. I recommend wearing hiking sandals or shoes because there is a lot of... More

I went with a group of school mates, and we stayed at the small huts they have there. Our guide was included in our stay. He was really good and definitely knew the cave very well. I even think he said he was a local who grew up just down the street. Some of our friends were less then fit... More

We took a motorbike from Hopkins and drove about 2 hrs down here - so worth it, plenty of stuff to see under way - 2 ruin sites, rural villages, tubing ... Blue creek village is true Belize life experience- the village is so sweet and the walk along the creek beautiful, easy to find. You can enter the cave... More

Recently, my husband, son and I visited Blue Creek Cave. In order to enter, you need a guide. We hired Rosalito at his grocery mart in town. What a great experience! Rosalito discussed the various vegetation on the way to the cave entrance. Once inside you swim in the dark with only the light from your headlamps illuminating the way.... More

Good little cave system with beautiful water. Very local village worth a look if you are in area. Very easy, not a big challenge.

Great adventure with our boys age 10 and 11. Do not miss this opportunity. Some tips: - it was unusually rainy for the dry season. Had about a 30 sec swim in cave. Also guide felt the current was too strong for kids to do the final swim to the other entrance. - the climb up the path to the... More

The hike was not too long but was aggressive for a couple of folks in our party (we are in our late 50s, early 60s). There's some rock hopping and scrambling to get to the cave. Water current was fairly strong but the ropes our guide placed for us made it very doable.
