Great food, accomodations a bit dated.

We spent one night at Banana Bank Ranch. It makes you feel like you've stepped into the past. The beds were wonderful, A/C cold, the sheets were very soft and the rooms and bathrooms were adequate. Much of the outside of the buildings is in need of repair or paint. The animals seemed well taken care of. The art museum... More

The family that owns Banana Bank went above and beyond expectations to make our visit memorable. The staff was awesome, friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Tours were informative and very easy to arraign. Our accommodations were clean and well maintained, loved our little cabana. Space does not allow for all the great things I have to share about our experience here.... More

If you're coming to Belize for an authentic vacation this is not the place for you. The staff was wonderful and helpful but hot dogs were served at breakfast. Gross. There was also a Jaguar in a small cage, which is illegal in Belize. As well as a monkey that had a metal collar and was chained to a tree... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Banana Bank. The accommodations are very basic but it is just a beautiful place. They have tropical birds and a rescued Jaguar on site. They have a pool, good food, horseback riding (which was awesome) and just beautiful grounds! We will go back again for sure! You can take a taxi from Belmopan but... More

This was one of our adventures planned through Caves Branch (another review). We had two fabulous guides on the 2 hour ride. Being from Texas we are used to riding but only getting 45 minutes for a normal ride where the horses are nose to tail. The ride starts even before the horses show up because of the unique way... The lodge while rustic was a great experience for my family. The Carr family provided wonderful hospitality and the food was excellent. We can't wait to go back.

We walked around the grounds at Banana Bank. Nice place....went horse back riding through the jungle for about 2 hours with two guides. A very lovely experience!

I took a trip to Banana Bank Ranch solely to experience a horse ride through the jungle. While I waited for my time to depart the stables I had a look around the lovely gardens. The trek was great fun. It took 1.5-2 hours and the surroundings were beautiful. I was the only customer on the trek at the time... More

This is a huge natural park were it is possible to swim in the river, explore the jungle with safety and enjoy adventures in plain nature.

Shabby-shiek might be a nice way of describing Banana Bank Ranch. The cabana rooms definitely give off that "jungle" ambiance, but no air conditioning or TVs. Showers get pretty hot, but don't expect much pressure. If you stay in the economy chalets, expect less. Always a long wait for meals, which are served family style, and watch out! They don't...
