The cave was really neat, but our guide was so-so. He missed a real opportunity to talk to a couple of nature and history buffs about Mayan culture, the Mayan underworld, and cave formations/geology/etc. Part of it wasn't his fault (hence the 3 stars) as he had a challenging individual on the trip who was scared of the dark and... Beautiful opportunity to explore part of a cave system. It was very dark, so make sure you bring a light of some sort. Path was well marked (if you could see it), and easy to navigate.

It's a very cool cave system! From the parking there's a short hike to the cave. The entrance is a cool step down that feels very mysterious. And as we walked in we got a very dramatic story about how the Mayans used the caves. The tubing is very easy going and you have more then plenty time to stop... More

What an experience! Our guide was Pedro who was awesome. Not only is this an incredible adventure, it was also great to hear about the mayan history with the caves. Pedro was super informative. This is a tour anyone can do. Water is very shallow and the current not strong. You sit in tubes with a helmet with a lamp... More

Loved the entire tour, definely a 5 star rating from me, our tour guy was the best, i'm recommending everyone to visit, go hiking, cave tubing and swiming at the bluehole.

This was our favorite tour in Belize. It is a beginner's level hike and tour that provided just enough intensity for us. Our tour was led by Pedro who provided a well rounded and thoughtful Mayan history and geological overview of what we were experiencing. He provided one on one attention to our small group and checked in with everyone... More

I can imagine doing this cave without a guide but I guess the reviews say you don't need one, however I would highly recommend having one. I would not recommend if you're claustrophobic or get easily freaked out by pitch dark, confined spaces. If you are going to go, I would go early in the morning. When we went with... More

We are in our early 60's, and we're not interested in a strenuous, claustrophobic adventure. We opted for the approximate 2.5 hour shorter tour. Alternatively, you can simply walk on your own into the opening of the cave a short way, or take an even longer tour further in. Our guide, Barnaby, was the best! He is very knowledgeable, but... This was a fun cave since we had little kids and they thought it was pretty cool. There's a nice little hike through the jungle, then a descent on a concrete path into the cave. Nothing too extreme. Good for kids or older people. Not too thrilling for people looking for an epic adventure.
