Nothing special except for Blancaneaux lodge (which was incredible). The surrounding rainforest is amazing. The pine forest does have less bugs and less noise at night.

The forrest has been hit hard by the pine beetle but it is recovering. The good news is that there are so many activites around you dont even notice.

Best way to see it is by horseback. Great to see it recovering from the fire. Beautiful views from on top. Great network of horse trails. Big Rock Falls was awesome.

Remote, removed from the "real world". Well worth a visit if you have the time and a reliable car.

Just went back through my pictures and found the sign for one of the zip line companies near the ridge - Calico Jack's.
