Absolutely loved this but you need to be reasonably fit. DO IT, DO IT!!!!! Saw bats, cave spiders and crickets, pottery shards and skeletal remains. My husband and I (both early 50's) and 20 year old daughter took this tour on 12/23/15 and had no...More

Don't miss this one-of-a-lifetime opportunity if you are physically able. The site is amazing and beautiful with Mayan and Natural History. The water architecture and cave formation are just out of this world. Imagine the British Museum is partially underwater in darkness, this is how...More

The journey begins right after you get off your tour bus - within 50 yards of trekking we had to cross a river with waist deep water. Given that it was 8am in the morning and we were still kind of sleepy, this crossing woke...More

My husband and I stayed in Hopkins along the east coast and decided not to plan too much of our trip. During dinner one night some travelers asked us what we had planned for our trip. Within seconds they both yelled, "Go to the ATM...More

This was definitely an adventure! We were with MayaWalk tours, which I would definitely recommend. Our guide, Hugh had been giving tours of this site for 16 years, and had tremendous knowledge to share. Once you get into the van to get to the site,...More

My husband is 66, I am 53, we're in reasonable shape, but we were both pushed to our limits by this adventure. You do lots of wading, swimming through the cave river, and climbing over huge rocks, crawling through crevices. I found it really scary,...More

By far the best tour in Belize. Way more strenous than I expected. But easily do able. I felt like Indiana Jones!

We went with River Rat expeditions because of their very attentive guides taking only a small group. Easily gave us the most interesting tour in Belize. The River Rat crew was able to point out the easiest and safest path through the caves to ensure...More

Loved every minute of it. I felt like Indiana Jones. From the hike from the car park to the inner chambers the whole trip felt like a real adventure. Incredible history and amazing geology. This is not to be missed if you are in Belize....More

Fun experience! The price is pretty steep, but the only way allowed to visit is with a guided tour. The best way to book is probably from the local tour companies rather than online, which is more expensive. The tour involved lots of swimming and...More

We (couple in average shape in our 60s) were worried about how difficult the tour would be too, but you just follow your guide and do what he says, step where he says to step and you will be good to go -it is so worth it... More
