Albert St. seemed like the main street downtown. Plenty of stores (clothing and grocery with name brand products), restaurants, banks, etc. Seemed like the heart of things...

Walked up and down the street a few times and besides a few gift shop, it was pretty dull and uninteresting.

This is a great street to walk down to get a feel for the local vibe. Lots of small shops, empty rundown buildings and street beggers. Full of locals no tourists in sight.

No-one around the Sunday morning I strolled the street, so peaceful and unhurried. Very different on Monday morning.... busy, dusty and colorful. No fears about security and there's a very good supermarket (Brodies) on the eastern side.

We went to Albert Street accidentally when we were roaming about in the Belize City on our four day tour, and realized that this is the only marketplace in the City Centre. The streets were lined with shops selling a variety of items. There's even...More

Walking distance. Just ask anyone where the swing bridge is, cross over you're there!
