I cannot recommend this more. Go through Raggamuffin Tours and snorkel this place. So amazing to see all the rays, nurse sharks and turtles.

The water appeared to be boiling there were so many sharks! Sadly my camera died just when we arrived. Everyone who went into the water with the sharks came out in one piece (myself included) :)

As per my review of Hol Chan, the feeding and manhandling of the sharks and rays should be discouraged. We tried to find a company which didn’t allow this and where we were staying recommended the ones we booked with but they still did! I...More

Swimming with the nurse sharks and the rays was a lot of fun. They were everywhere! Super fun experience. We went with Suya tours & I highly recommend them.

It's amazing to be in the water with the beautiful sharks and rays! Try to go at an off peak time to be able to appreciate it without a ton of people. You will not regret your time in the water here!

We are a family of four and did the organised snorkel tour with Diamond Adventures with two dive stops at Shark alley and Hol Chan Marine Reserve. They picked us up from the north of the Island (staying at La Perla Del Caribe) - and...More

It’s a bad practice the way all these boats chum the waters to attract sharks... but it’s an easy snorkel and you’re all but guaranteed to see at least twenty of them. Fun for a quick dip and a photo of video.

This coral reef location is amazing to view. Some members have in our group built up the courage to swim with the copious amount of sharks and sting rays. I snorkeled at Hol Chan which had at least 10 shark citings while we were out...More

A must if you like snorkelling and sharks! Quite shallow, about 8 to 10ft and you have to travel out by boat to get to it. Need to be confident to jump off a boat and not touch the bottom. Go early as v popular!

Anyone with a boat could take you there, but probably easier just to go on a trip. People who own boats are probably tour operators anyway... Some of the operators feed the sharks too so they are more likely to come to the... More

You’re in deep water but the guide we had, had a life ring that you could hold onto. It allowed you to snorkel a little but have the security of the life ring near you.
