We rode our bikes here and tried to relax a bit because it was very scenic. But the insects were pretty bad, so we didn't last long. It's kind of isolated, so I don't know that I'd go alone.

We love to bike to this maritime forest park that offers trails, fishing pier, kayak launch, pavillion for picnics and surprise you can even camp here.

This is a beautiful park in Atlantic Beach. It's rarely crowded. My husband and I like to paddleboard here because it's so easy to put in. Great place to fish too. Easy access to the Intracoastal or you can paddle around the marshes. Won't go...More

Have been there a few times for local community gatherings as well as trail bike riding, trail walking, and as a great place to launch a kayak for a few hours paddle. Most days it is only lightly used. We have seen a variety of...More

Visited with my wife and enjoyed the quiet and setting, various birds attempting to find something to eat in the water and mudflats. Be sure to walk out to the end of the elevated walkways for the best views!

Make sure to take plenty of bug spray and sunscreen. I took my nephew and Kids there for a nice casual nature walk.

Don't leave any valuables visible or the homeless druggies hiding in the bushes will break your car windows and help themselves (even if your doors are unlocked).

There are trails around the park that provide a serene background for musing. Many of the trees have herons and wood storks nesting in them, or just hanging out. Roseate spoonbills have visited, and osprey love the area. The fishing on the dock and the...More

Our first visit to this FL preserve. Not crowded which is a good thing since there is limited parking. I imagine weekends could be crowded. We only saw bathrooms in one area so you may have to drive over. Limited camping sites with permit. A...More

Whew. This is a big question. If you are asking time of year I would say in the spring or summer as a lot of birds have gone south. If you want to see shore birds I would say low tide when perhaps you can see them feeding.
