We thoroughly enjoyed this place. I have lived in this town for over 10 years and never knew this gem existed. We did a tour which turned out to be just us. The owner/ caretaker was wonderful and a wealth of knowledge. Able to get so close to the animals, walking from animal to animal, hearing their stories and seeing... More

It was a great place to visit seeing all the wild animals and hearing their stories-our guide was excellent-we walked to each area without any problem-very interesting-they also offer dinners at certain times have not done this but sounds very unique.

Went on a saturday morning, was extremely impressed with the personal tour. Guide was very informative n the animals appeared to be extremely happy! Such a wonderful place very little advertisement, not a typical 'zoo' visit. Worth a second trip back!!

DIRECTIONS\ US17 North of Arcadia Watch for Aracadia Desoto stockyards on the left. Turn Left on Ernest street. Follow small road to the right to Baha street. There are small signs which you will see if you watch carefully. Kind of out in country. I really enjoyed my visit to shelter. It was managed by caring individuals which know the... More

It is a labor of love for the owners, Lynn and Dennis. Keep in mind this is not a zoo, but an animal rescue. I took my 2 1/2 year old, and that is maybe a little young for this place. At times I wondered if the tigers really tired, would we be lunch? The animals are in cages and... More

Forget the zoo; If you want to see a variety of wild animals, this is the place to go. A family run animal sanctuary that contains numerous exotic animals. No lines, or corporate gimmicks; bring a snack (for you) and your outdoor shoes.

We visited Lions Tigers and Bears march 2015 for the safari dinner. Tour began with feeding of the animals - depending on animal - fresh beef, chicken or vegetables and Cake. Background information was given on each animal while food was provided. Lots of questions and answers. Grounds were kept up - like one was in central florida - where... More

Getting there is not easy but, it is worth the trip. Located approximately 8 miles east of Arcadia there are some signs that help but are easy to miss. The people that own and run this place are basically on a mission of mercy as they have rescued these magnificent animals from mistreatment and/or almost certain death. All of the... More

We went on a recommendation of a friend. I have mixed feelings about this place . In a sense I guess they are doing a good thing but after I viewed the animals in my opinion they look miserable. The cages were small, clean but small. It's hard to see the animals because the weeds were grown up so much.... More

My boyfriend and I were the fist to visit on the in the morning. It was close to feeding time, so many of the animals were active with anticipation. This made seeing the big cats so very entertaining. The bear was a beautiful site to see, even though he was sleepy. The lions roar and the tigers chuff, along with... More
