Nice place to get out of the hustle and bustle of Orlando and see natural Florida. It was fascinating to see the crystal clear water coming up out of the ground. It is obviously a popular swimming spot. There are canoes and kayaks available. There...More

Disney and all that it's offers the Orlando tourist, provides exactly what it says on the tin; excitement, buzz, crowds, noise, screaming and cash sapping opportunities for the family. Wekiwa Springs in contrast offers you peace, tranquility and a natural experience, all from the comfort...More

In the midst of the high traffic, Disney infected greater Orlando area, this park offers unspectacular relaxation and nice trails. The spring section is inviting and must be really nice in summer. We did not have time for one of the long trails (there is...More

This is a beautiful state park. Compared to other springs in the area this one is my least favorite. The spring head is very interesting, water forced up between large boulders. You can snorkel down between them, does get narrow. The current very strong at...More

Quick getaway recommended by friends. Park is right next to city residential housing area and the city of Apopka and Orlando. That was a surprise but it does not distract from the charming sanctuary feeling of the park. Camping sites with full hookup...shady, level spots....More

A great family day out. Rent a kayak and go quietly through the streams to see gators and turtles, birds and more. Good BBQ stations. A great swimming hole in the spring, albeit a little colder than they will have you believe. Lovely boardwalks too....More

I loved every minute of it. The day wasnt too sunny so we could enjoy canoeing and, even thought I was terrified, we safely saw some wild life and then enjoyed the springs. Take some food and a cover to nap on the grass, the...More

Beautiful spring creek easy to float. You can rent inner tubes outside the park ($10+ each) or just bring your own. Great for kids. The water isn't very deep in most places. Nice grassy areas to relax on and have a picnic. There were hiking...More

This park fills up quick but if you can get there on a weekday, it's a great way to spend a day outdoors. I hiked about 5 miles then kayaked over to the Island to enjoy some lunch and a cold beer. After you kayak...More

Juniper Springs, and Alexander springs. Less crowds. The spring head at Alexander is by far the most beautiful one I’ve ever swam over. If you enjoy snorkeling I recommend Alexander. Juniper swimming area is smaller... More

Prudence, I don't know for sure but I would think tubing is okay. I doubt there is a renatl place nearby. Try calling the park. I'm sure they could tell you.
