This is a short hike to two really pretty places.....the grotto, which you have to climb down to get into and the cascading waterfalls. Both are quite beautiful. I did appreciate my husband *spotting* me as I climbed down into the grotto and I needed...More

We were thrilled to hear about this from other travelers at the Ritz. It is a beautiful little hike, not too far to walk to be in the heart of the mountains!

I've been here a couple of times and I try to do it beginning of spring since you can see ice caves there. It is a nice easy hiking trail.

When the sun is shining into the grottos it just lights up. Interesting to see how a little bit of water can carve the rock.

The Grottoes trail is not connected to a campsite. There is a campsite not far from there called "Difficult Campground ". Call the U S Forest Service for information.

No, I'm sorry I do not. I stayed in Snowmass while I was there and only stopped by the Grottos trail on my drive back towards Denver. Enjoy your trip!
