Gorgeous hiking through the most photographed national park. Stunning views. You can hike around the lake, or hike up incredible terrain. We spent a day there and wished we could have stayed longer. The bus system is a breeze and it’s just outside Aspen. Loved...More

We drove to Aspen from Vail specifically to see the Maroon Bells. We were not disappointed. We were there September 16th which was around the peak Fall color timeframe. Absolutely beautiful. Must see if you're in the Aspen area during that time frame. It is...More

Our two night stop in Aspen was so worth it, if for nothing else than to see the Maroon Bells. We chose to use the shuttle system from our condo in Snowmass, which ultimately required six different busses - but it was stress free and...More

We’ve always wanted to see the Bells and when our sunrise balloon trip got scrubbed due to winds, we got an early start to our day. We walked to the bus station, bought our 2 tickets from Highlands to the Bells, and caught the first...More

We never saw the Maroon Bells. I'll tell you why. And I'll tell you why I give this place such a dismal rating. It's because the parking lot at Aspen Highlands is a danger zone. They give you 30 minutes free. That's fine. If you...More

Visited Maroon Bells during Memorial day weekend. Hiked up to the glacier lake. The snow was still on the trail and it was a beautiful and quiet place.

We visit Maroon Bells every time we're in Aspen and it never disappoints. We usually get up at 5 and drive up to see the first rays of the sun as they hit the mountain. If you haven't yet visited, do that first. If you're...More

An exceptional blast of beauty conveniently located just a quick drive from Aspen. We planned to drive in but found out when we reached Aspen Highlands that auto access is restricted to early morning and after 5pm. After taking the short bus drive, I appreciated...More

Maroon Bells is a fairly common tourist destination when visiting the Aspen/Snowmass area. There is a hiking trail around Maroon Lake that also separates, one direction continuing toward the Bells and Crater Lake. Great for just hiking, sightseeing, and photo ops.

There are many many beautiful scenic spots in Colorado, I personally felt maroon Bells was over rated. Nice, but not wow. You have to pay to access it and a bus takes you on a 15 minute drive ( don't think you're allowed to park...More

The Aspen trees will be in full color in about a week. Great time for photos. After the first snowfall would be great too. We were there a month again & missed a lot of the wild flowers 😢. We drove in before 8:00 and found... More

Great time of the year. You should expect cool sunny 60 degree weather, but likely no jacket required.

I would guess it depends on how much snow they get and how soon. Call the Aspen Highlands to be sure. Here is what is posted online: MAROON BELLS BUS Service runs June 9, 2018 through October 8, 2018
