One has to get to the top of Aspen Mountain first, then follow the trail/road upwards and South into an area of spectacular beauty and quietude. Some mountain cabins visible, accessible in Summer by a back road (Little Annie Road) which goes up to the top of Aspen mountain, but in winter the snowmobile is the only way to get... More

We usually start by driving up Midnight Mine road...a magnificent experience in itself, then take the Richmond Hill road from there back for miles of scenic 4 wheeling. Don't try it in an ordinary car. It's strictly four wheel, but what fun. We then take either the trail down to the ghost town of ashcroft in Castle Creek Valley or... More
