We actually camped here in June of this year, forgot to write a review. We camped in Rosa loop of the Colorado side of the reservoir. We had camped at the New Mexico side the year before, and to say it was a disappointment in many ways would be an understatement. Rosa loop has full hookups (water, elec., and sewer)... More

We stayed at the Windsurf Beach campground - first come, no amenities other than the toilets. Pretty quiet when we were there and even when more campers came in towards the weekend. Not the best place for swimming but we had a great time exploring the lake by jet ski.

On a motorcycle trip, we stopped at the secluded wildlife overlook area of the Navaho State Park to enjoy a bottle of wine and some elk jerky. The pavilion is new and attractive, and affords a view of the Piedra River. The sound of the river and the wind in the trees was lovely.

We decided to do a little exploring today and ended up here. We have wondered where folks with boats went for boating and lake fun. Now we know. This place has a big boat launching area and there were plenty of all sorts of boats. The number of house boats anchored off the shoreline was surprising. There were very nice... More

This is a beautiful campground above the lake. We had camp site 125 on the Rosa Loop. A tent site high above the water and with a beautiful view. Because we had to lug all our stuff to this site and we were far from all the huge RV's, crowds and dogs, we thought it would be peaceful here. It... More

We enjoyed a restful stay at this state park after a couple of busy weeks at another location. The sites by the lake are awesome! Great views and very spacious. We stayed in a full hookup site. We didn't use the bathrooms, but my husband said he went in and they weren't that nice. Since we had full hookups that... More

Rosa Loop has beautiful, large, level, lakeside sites with full hookups. But it seems very windy here for both shore fishing and boating. One day the wind blew hard all day (REALLY hard) and we even lost our satellite signal because of it. There are trails everywhere and they are maintained OK but step off the trail and you might... Large sites, no shade, trails not maitained, bathrooms could be cleaner. Staff was friendly & helpful. Small display & visitor center. We visited off season & it was quiet though I expect this is a very busy campground in summer. Closest town for supplies, groceries, fuel 17 miles. Road to park needs work. Full service cabins available. Reservoir is beautiful.

Wanted to explore the southern part of Colorado/New Mexico. We love to camp and love Colorado's State Parks. We arrived in the middle of the day - Memorial Day weekend. The information provided for the Park (website) is extremely exaggerated. Visitors Center is small and staff not very helpful. Trails map explains the trail, but no trail map. Did not... More

This is a nice camp area, very well maintained. We stayed in a tent on the Tiffany loop (23) and were the only tent there. There were maybe two RVs and a couple of occupied cabins, so it was very quiet. Most of the RVs seem to stay on the first loop, so if you are a tent camper Tiffany... More
