Nice shaded trail for hiking and biking

We love walking on the Bob Jones Trail, shaded by the Oak trees. It is a peaceful early morning walk, and there are a few cafes along the trail, too.

Good bike and walking trail. Can get crowed on the weekend, but still very enjoyable. We walked and biked the trail from Avilla Village Resort to the beach.

Tried the asphalt trail and discovered we could have done better elsewhere. It was not quiet and there were too many people talking loud when walking and bicycles around every corner. It was not secluded or private in any way. However, it does provide a good walk, which ultimately ends at the ocean before heading back depending at what end... More

I love this trail and try to rollerskate or bike it at least once a week. Parking is always better at the Bob jones parking lot, so if you can bring bikes and enjoy a long stroll or even rent bikes from avila hot springs. ..you must go on the trail at least once!! Maybe twice! Do it!

This trail along a creek is not to be missed for the visitor who likes to exercise a bit. Listed as a bike trail, its primary use is foot traffic (walkers, runners). You'll skirt the local Buddhist compound, apple orchard and other small developments along this shady, paved path.

On our last visit to the Pismo Beach area my husband and I found the Bob Jones City to Sea Bike Trail. This is a pleasant paved trail that takes you straight into Avila Beach. Highly recommended for those who like to take a nice stroll but not interested in straining themselves too much!

Loved riding my bike along this trail. Beautiful and serene. Best of all no cars! Great little market that serves food along the path.

Stream and most of the trail is beautiful. One part, though a huge California King snake slithered across the pavement, is shared with cars which enter into a gated community which is kind of weird.

Bob Jones trail is everything reviewers said it was. A breathtaking, safe & immaculately maintained path that just lifts your spirits as you take in the natural beauty around you. It cuts through the golf course & then follows along the boundary of some high end houses. My 11 year old daughter & I walked the entire 5 mile trail... More
