Nice tour of Avalon Bay with a knowledgeable captain (Bryce) to fill you in on the fish you're seeing and sights ashore. The boat is stable and offers little chutes for dropping fish food pellets into the water next to the viewing ports. The fish are used to the boat and congregate for the food, offering good viewing both through... More

We were so excited for this but it was very disappointing save your money and do something else. Seen two types of fish and a lot of algae no coral which he said we would it was so boring several on board with us went to sleep and to be honest I dozed off myself. It was pitiful!

Short tour with 2 stops for feeding. Almost nothing to see until they bait the water. On our trip there were several young children onboard and even they were not impressed. The captain/tour host was trying his best to put some life into the ride. A bit overpriced for going out a few yards along the coast. I've done the... More

the pristine beauty of the island shore is revealed, visibility can be greater than 100 feet down. The sealife is fantastic.

You only see 2-3 different fish. It is a quick trip. What you get to do/see doesn't justify the cost of the trip.

I have been doing this tour for well over 50 years and still enjoy it. You just travel around Avalon but you get a great view of the fish that are living here. There are not a lot of different fish but it is still fun and little one's love to see the fish up close under the glass bottom... More

Five of us traveled to Catalina and decided at $20 each to go on the glass bottom boat ride. It takes you out l/2 mile by the rocks (not far) and for $5 you can buy fish bait to give the fish so they come around and you can see them through the glass. Most of the fish we saw... More

We first tried to get on what we thought was the only "Glass Bottom Boat Tour", only to find out their boat was out of order. Slightly disappointed after seeing all the fish in the water near the docks...we continued to watch them from the pier. THEN WE SAW a different GBB pulling in. We asked how to get tickets....it's... You will be on a boat, but the whole tour will be within 20(?) yards range from you board. The boat is nice, and glass bottom allows you see the ocean floor and fish, which is also nice. There are two observation points, about just a few yards from each other. And really you will be looking at the same... More
