The best way to explore Catalina's wildlands is by scheduling a naturalist guided custom open-air Catalina Island Conservancy Eco Tour. On the tour you might see bald Eagles soaring high above, the shy Santa Catalina Island fox, and American bison. Not to mention the rare plants and archaeological sites. Come see Catalina's wild side for yourself!

We took the 3 hour tour. Guide was excellent - very cool, calm, collected, funny & knows everything about the island. Gorgeous vistas, great history and a bit of off road fun too. Highly recommend this tour.

We took a half-day tour and did a loop around the island. We saw a couple dozen bison, two foxes, a red-tailed hawk, and a few other animals. Not bad, considering there aren't really all that many animals that live on Catalina. Our tour guide...More

Took the 2-hour tour but since we hadn't seen any Catalina Foxes, our guide added a 1/2 hour and we took a road deeper into the interior....and saw 2 foxes! Beth, our guide/driver, has lived on the island for decades. I can't imagine that there...More

We took the 3 hour jeep tour to see the island. We saw parts that the normal tourist does not usually see. Breathtaking views of the beaches, buffalo, and a wonderful tour guide. she was so knowledgeable about the island. We all loved it!

Though pricey at $70/person, it was a very interesting and informative tour in an open jeep conducted by Charles, our tour guide and driver. We were lucky to see bisons along the way from the Airport in the Sky back to Avalon.
