Although a small zoo, Atascadero has really done some improvements to make this zoo shine and become even more enjoyable. My boys have always loved visiting here and we've been annual pass members for years. We would love to see more animals, but it is a great zoo for its size. I love I can let my boys roam and... Small zoo, with a nice variety of animals to see. I think its family owned. We went right before christmas and they had a dj playing all the christmas classics, my daughter had her picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Clause. Overall, it was a nice experience. Across the parking lot in the park is the Veterans memorial, a definite... More

For being as small as it is, they have a good selection of animals. The walk through bird aviary is neat along with the red panda. The tiger is cool when you can see him but he's off sleeping a lot. The park surrounding the zoo is also great for taking the kids to the playground or just relaxing in... More

This is a nice zoo to visit with exhibits that get updated on a regular basis. The Ice cream fundraiser event is well worth the extra cost to get into the zoo. All the ice cream you can eat and more than 10 flavors to choose from.

For less than $10, this charming small collection of animals was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. From Macaws to giant Tortoises you can walk through slowly and see the animals up close. No competition to the he Bronx Zoo but as a small, local collection it is nicely presented.

Small walk through area with 6-7 total outdoor animal enclosures/habitats. It is attached to a larger park and green space.

Charles Paddock Zoo is very small, which means you get round it very quickly, there aren’t that many animals and the enclosures are a bit on the tight side. None of that’s a great problem, as we weren’t expecting something to rival San Diego, and it was a pleasant enough experience, but, in hindsight, and as people with lots of... More

This is a wonderful zoo that is located a ways from other zoos. They have several special animals and the zoo size is nice for a few hours of viewing. The zoo is located in a park, so a family can make a day of the visit. This attraction was a special treat as the wife and I stopped in... More

Being a local we have seen the zoo go through a lot of renovations and today it is a beautiful place to visit.
