We live in Arnold where White Pines is located. Great for fishing, family picnics, playground equipment for children, swimming (small beach) canoeing, hiking. There are ducks, and you can hear the frogs croaking. Within walking distance to the Logging Museum, that features old machinery from logging days in White Pines. Volunteers keep the park in good condition. We are frequent... More

White Pines Lake is a small lake surrounded by forests, and local people have donated money to create a nice community park. It has restrooms, picnic tables and sections of beach where people enjoy swimming. It is also a popular spot for kayaking or paddle boarding. Fishermen like the lake -- it is stocked -- and it seems to be... More

White Pines lake is full of Rainbow Trout, Crappie and Bass. The water is very clean and swimmable! It's a very family friendly lake with a nice beach...nestled in the pines about 4,000 foot elevation. You can't go wrong.

White Pines lake was originally the mill pond for a goldrush era lumber mill, providing lumber for the local gold mines. The mill remained in operation through WWII providing lumber for the war effort. Today it is a local park with a logging museum, baseball fields, exercise facilities and a good sized lake which is used for fishing, swimming and... More

The lake was frozen over during our visit, so we just hiked around it. Looked very nice. We'll have to come back in the summer to check out the fishing.

This is a great place to get away from it all, but still close to civilization. We rented a small cabin and just enjoyed walking the area and taking in nature.

Great place to land for the day. Picnic, swim at the beach, take a hike around the lake, play disc golf, picnic & bbq with family & friends. Make sure you stop by the Sierra Logging Museum located by the lake.

Right now, the water level is extremely low, but it's still a great place to watch the geese and other birds, have a picnic, or stroll around the lake. Restrooms are nearby, too.
