I will recommend this beach to anyone who is looking for a non-crowded location to catch a glimpse of the sunset from shore. There is a nominal charge for parking, but during summer weekends (after 6pm), there are no attendants to check. The beach is dog friendly and also has campfire pits.

I come here everyday at sunset. This is a long sandy beach - I believe you can walk all the way to Moss Landing from here - with great even waves for playing in and surfing. The sunsets here are so beautiful, even the firefighters in their trucks come to check them out.

Easy access, large parking lot, clean bathrooms, fire pits, showers to wash the sand off, seasonally staffed Guard tower and usually not crowded except for holidays and weekends. Be careful of the strong rip currents. Popular surf spot. Can walk for miles either direction even at high tide.

I took my first walk along Manresa well over forty years ago. Since that time, it has been one of the favorites on the list of beaches in California. My walk started at Seascape Beach and I went so far as to step onto Manresa Beach. The time of year was perfect for the tides, the weather, and the whales.... More

This is one of the nicer beaches that I've been to, however it's not the best. I took a walk along it and didn't spend much time on it, but I liked it very much because of the lack of rocks and soft sand.

La Selva beach just south of Manresa State Beach park is a beautiful, less frequented spot. The surf is great, sunsets are fully visible all times of the year. Best is to bring along firewood and do a campfire just before sunset and stay hour or two after sunset. The experience is amazing, with campfire and the ocean roaring close... More

I have gone to this beach more times than I can count - in all kinds of weather and all seasons. It is walking distance from my home, and I couldn't be more pleased. I recommend it, and for the tourist, the entry fee can't be beat for close parking. Go early if you like cool fog, which burns off... More

As an Australian I'm totally against having to pay for beach access, which I realise is the norm in most places. On top of that, here you still have a long walk from the car to the sand. Once you're there though, it's a nice beach, with plenty of space and good views.

Stopped by here after trying to go to La Selva beach (didn't know it was private). The beach was not crowded at all and we had our pick of where to place our blanket. Kids loved it. People were super chill. Definitely come out to enjoy the California coast if you're in the area.

Generally less crowded than the other major beaches nearby, perhaps because it's not as close to other things like restaurants, cafes, etc... But a big, beautiful expanse of sand and blue-green ocean waves. No frills, no Boardwalk, just your classic, relaxing, beautiful beach. $10 to park in the lot, but relatively hassle-free. The best beach in this part of the... More
