Abdolutely get the Hopper!! The parks are right across from one another, and depending on crowds and rides you like, you may want to bounce from one to the other. First timer hints: You MUST try a Dole whip. These are sold right outside the Tiki Room in Adventureland. Go into ANY gift shop and tell them you are 1st time visitors. They will give you a button to wear. You will get lots of extra-special attention from other visitors and ride operators. BEST place to eat in Disneyland: French Market in New Orleans Square (near Haunted Mansion) or Jolly Holiday on Main Street. Characters are out early, so get to park when it opens and have camera ready. You can easily find Mickey and his gang upon entering park. Use Fast Pass. This is a free service that will allow you to get a specific return time for a busy ride. You get your pass, come back at right time and hop on! For California Adventure, must dos: Guardian of the Galaxy ( do not eat before riding... BEST ride in park!!!) Soarin over the World... you will love it. Absolutely beautiful. BEST place to eat: Sourdough Bread Company (near Ghiradeli Chocolate Factory). Have s bread bowl. They are delicious and made on-site!! And finally, if the "Frozen" show is still playing in the Hollywood section, you must see it. Broadway-style show unlike anything you've ever seen in a theme park. Enjoy!!
