Nice place to stop and rest, or get out and stretch the legs. The Cafe does not have a grill and only serves snacks and cold drinks. Souvenirs are limited but available.

Historic gas station and motel on Route 66. We didn't really expect a lot, except for a photo op - and it's definitely worth stopping just to take pictures. But there is a lot more: The gas station is actually operational, and it looked like...More

My hubby and I stopped at Roy's Motel & Cafe to feed our SUV "Spartacus" dinner (gas). It was evening before the sun set and the white sands, scrubs, and eerie desert buildings with a huge Route 66 logo on the road gave the location...More

Thank you, Roy's, for providing public restrooms for history buffs traveling old Route 66. The historic value of this place is not to be discounted, and the availability of refreshments, souvenirs, & restrooms is appreciated.

This was an interesting stop on Route 66. There isn't much to the place anymore, but I imagine in it's heyday that it was a sight for sore eyes for travelers on Route 66. If you are a history bluff or just like to see...More

This is set at the start of the iconic Route 66. It used to be a motel years ago but now just a fuel, restroom stop where you can buy a drink/snack and some Route 66 gifts. The toilets are disgusting so be warned, no...More

Just keep on driving... This place is only worth stopping at if you want photos of abandoned rusted Route 66 ruins.

OK so this is a rusty old bucket on Route 66, but really, the iconic sign is worth the stop in my opinion. You can buy tshirts and gifts, but the man behind the counter was pretty cranky, and did not seem very hospitable to...More

Not worth the stop. Nothing to see, restrooms are horrible, coffee about the same and not very hospitable.

Ok stop at Route 66 before crater, located at Amboy town. Place is restored to it's "old glory". The reopening was 2008.

Roy's Motel is today more of a historical site and seen by many as a ghost town. It is a wonderful place to view what life on the road would have been like back in the glory days of Route 66.
