St. George not only distills some of the finest spirits (gin, eau de vie, brandy, amaro)available in North America, they offer an expert tour (billed as 90 minutes, but more like two hours for the full experience). Our guide Sam was delightful. The tasting included is generous, fun and revelatory. Worth a big detour. And the San Francisco cityscape from... More

Spirit tasting is very different, but totally worth it. Everything they do is wonderful. I did the tour with friends for my birthday. Very informative, and there was a tasting after. Plus, if it's your birthday, you get a free cup.

Six of us had an entertaining hour learning about spirits and how they are made. The equipment used was fascinating to behold and our informative and charming guide aptly explained how it was used. I especially appreciated the presentation about the ingredients. After the tour, we were guided into the tasting room with our group to taste several of the... More

We had a group of 6 for a tour by paid reservations only. The facility is in a restored military air hanger on the shoreline of the Bay (good view west toward SF). The tour included a detailed description of the machinery of the distillery, how each of the products are made, including the types of inputs and flavorings used... More

If you’re a fan of top notch spirits or just a fan of fun, don’t miss this tour and tasting. St. George Spirits is one of my favorite places on the planet. They’re known for extremely innovative, high quality spirits. And everyone who works there is super passionate about their products. Make a reservation, grab a friend or two and... More

We opted for St George in light of its history in the bay area. If you are thinking about a tour that will give you a buzz at the end, certainly this is not it. Portions are tiny (a sip per tasting and there only 6 tastings in total). Certainly its location in a former US Navy Hangar gives it... More

The tour and tasting work very well as a pair together - the "behind the scenes" introduction and distillation discussion was well worth it (and certainly the character of the host - Chris is fantastic). In addition, the spirits themselves will have you looking to your standard cocktails in a new way. Highly recommended! (Oh, and the next door places... More

Andy was a very knowledgeable, entertaining and friendly guide. The tour was well planned and very informative. The tastings were great with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend adding on the St. George's shot glass as it earned us a tasting for just our group rather than for a larger group. And the spirits are great! We all ended up purchasing... More

We did a tour and tasting. Easy to set up on-line and parking was no problem. The staff was super-helpful and welcoming. Our tour guide gave us the history and lots of details of the science behind the art of distilling various vodkas, gins and other liquors. The view of SF looking across the old airfield runways is pretty awesome... More

Located in an old hangar which has fantastic history in itself, this was a great place to visit if you are interested in booze! Great staff. Excellent atmosphere. You can have a tour and/or a tasting session. Great variety of products.
