We visited Big Wills Outfitters several times in 2016. Very friendly staff. Before the drought got so bad there was a really good flow here. Takes about 3-3 1/2 hours unless you take a lot of pit stops. There is a rope swing along the way and very visible mile markers. Can't wait to visit in 2017 since we have... More

Big Wills Outfitters is a great company and perfect for beginners who are trying out kayaking for the first time as well as those with more experience. The Jackson kayaks that they rent are awesome and for the price, you can't beat the experience you will have on Big Wills Creek. The float is has a great pace (not too... More

We scheduled a huge youth kayak trip for today so after traveling over 100 miles to BWO we found know one there. Facebook shows their hours and claimed they were opened today. Long after we had honked our car horn and knocked on doors someone finally answered their phone to inform us that they were closed for the season. What?... More

This is a great place to paddle down the river. I'm unsure what the current status is as far as having someone to pick you up at the end of the day so you may want to call and check for your self. As far as the trip...very nice!! As a side note, do NOT go immediately after during heavy... More

great time on big wills - my husband and I went the second weekend in August, had a great time ! The staff was amazingly helpful - had never been. Bring something to put your key in, like a plastic protector.

A group of us went up to Attalla today, brought two dogs, a canoe, kayaks, and paddles and floated down the river. Big Wills is AWESOME! One thing I have realized since moving to Alabama 7 years ago is how under appreciated the natural beauty here is. It was so peaceful and beautiful floating down the river, gazing at the... More

What a great day to spend with a fun group of teenagers! Big Wills kayaking is a great activity for a family or a group of friends. We took 12 teens and had a blast. The Big Wills team was very accommodating and make for the perfect day at a reasonable price. Thanks! We will be back.

I love this trip, underdeveloped area lets you see more of natures animal life. Beauitful mountains, pure clean water, great new gear makes the one of the safest nicest water trips around. Nice friendly staff too! I try to make this run often for peaceful water that still as good currant flow!

Family took a chance to do what they love. Payed off. Great place to float and do a little fishing. Shuttle service available. Boat rentals or bring your own. Sells Jackson kayaks and yeti coolers. What more do you need? Maybe some small gear, well they have that covered too. Check them out right off I59. On Big Wills Creek.
