The museum is a great place to spend time and explore all it has to offer. It is especially good for young people to give them a sense of history and the sacrifices made by young men and women to give them freedom. Take time and visit the museum, it is certainly worth it.

My wife and I went into this museum out of curiority. We have driven by it many times. But, we learned someone we knew from years ago was a volunteer there and he encouraged us to visit. I am so glad we did. It has great displays and only takes about an hour to view everything though you could do... More

I am not big on visiting museums but this attraction is definitely an exception. After one trip here, I was mesmerized with the history, the character and the emotion connected with this place.

Ron was excellent. Met us at the door and checked on us occasionally and told great stories. Will stop again.

This is more than a museum, it's a history book that comes to life with the stories of the valiant men and women who served and defended this country and freedom. The guy who gave us a tour was a volunteer who was friendly and knowledgeable. There is so much there that we did not get to see everything so... More

Once you find this museum, the setting and contents will not disappoint! With an abundance of local veterans, the contents and donations are quite impressive. The curator/staff/volunteers have done a great job organizing and laying out the displays in an interesting and sensible manner. You could easily take just an hour or a whole day, depending on your time and... More

I can't say enough to praise the staff at the archives! The young woman in charge (so sorry, I can't remember her name), even went to the extent of walking us to the Visitor Center to get the information we needed! She even called the Decatur Archive office to get us information for the next day. This entire town welcomed... More
