Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This must surely be one of the best little hidden gems in all of Washington DC. I suspect visitors and commuters alike just drive right on by.
Located south of the Botanic Gardens greenhouse, next to the new American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial, at the bottom of Capitol Hill, this place is a must see. Visit all three locations while you are there.
History buffs and garden enthusiast will absolutely love it! Recently renovated into a Sustainable SITE Park with Green features, it is absolutely incredible. Overflowing with fauna and fruit trees of some many varieties one would think you were in the tropics. Hidden among the plants are smaller water features, private chairs, and nooks to enjoy it all.
The Fountain by itself is worth the visit. Created by the same sculptor who did the Statue of Liberty this place is just wonderful. It reminds one of the beautiful parks in Paris, Versailles, London, Madrid, and many locations in Europe.
If you have not visited I recommend you go. Take the Metro and exit at L'Enfant Plaza. There you will have a great view of Capitol Hill, House office buildings as well as a few places to get a snack or drink.
Carry a coffee or lunch with you, rest, take it in and enjoy.

It’s across from the botanical gardens. It’s a nice park with a cool looking fountain. Worth the short visit while strolling through the city.

I stumbled across the park and fountain on my way to the Botanic Garden and was so happy at my good fortune. The fountain is beautiful and the small park is an oasis of peacefulness in an area where cars and people are in a rush and zooming.
It's a great place to catch your breath and just take a moment to enjoy the beauty of the landscaping and, of course, the fountain itself.

I visited the Bartholdi Park in August 2021. It is located not far from the US Capitol. It has a beautiful fountain which is a good photo opportunity. Bartholdi was the creator of the Statue of Liberty.

Just across the street from the Botanic Garden, this is a beautiful and quiet place to relax and admire the gardens and the great fountain. If you need some down time or just want to sit down and eat your lunch, this is a good place.

Bartholdi Park is located just right acrose the Botnical Garden in Washington D.C. Many travelers think the Bartholdi Park is part of it but it is a different park with history as D.C. landmark in itself. Once you visit the area, make sure that you stop by for a relax and photo opp time. The garden features different type of garden and a very uniuqe fountain.

Lovely park with beautiful fountain behind the botanical gardens. Nice spot to stop and rest, or have a picnic with the tables and chairs provided.
