Free, with limited things to see. Worth checking out Albert, the beautiful old buildng and the art displays. A twenty minute stop, 30 tops. Cafeteria in basement with limited hours is a place to catch you breath and get a drink. Few visitors. It holds...More

The inside exhibits are only able to be seen during business hours M-F. They are also not to terribly thrilled with visitors but will let you in. Having said the inside as an architectural curiosity is pretty cool. However, don't do what we did and...More

Visited on 7/10/2017 (Monday): Upon entering the building we were greeted with someone asking how they can help us which made it seem like the building is not open to the public. You have to show your ID (everyone in the party has to) to...More

There seems to be confusion in the reviews. The original Academy building, which is beautiful, is at 2101 Constitution Ave NW and the Einstein statue/tribute is out front on the corner of 22nd and Constitution. A variety of forums and colloquia are held at that...More

the fabulous headquarters building on constitution avenue - they spent a fortune restoring it, and it is a wow - but they won't allow you inside it. so forget about going there. you have to go to some little modern museum downtown.

The academy was closed when I went by. If you want a photo op with about a 10 foot tall A. Einstein sculpture, stop by out front - I did :).
